St. Matthew’s is a Church of England Voluntary Aided Infant School catering for children from the age of four to seven years. Inspirational teaching motivates pupils so that they are very excited about learning new things. We work closely with the Diocese of Guildford and Surrey Education Authority. We are also part of the Effingham Learning Partnership and have close contacts with other local schools.
St. Matthew’s is consistently ranked in the top 5% of Surrey schools for Key Stage 1 results and was judged to be “Outstanding” in all areas by Ofsted in October 2013. In June 2014 St Matthew’s was judged to be Outstanding. Read the St. Matthew’s inspection report here.
